As a mortuary for the remains, it is a ossuary that holds the remains of many people as well as the Danish believers of Myorin-ji Temple.

 

Those who do not have a grave, those who want to keep the ashes in the main hall as a mortuary until the grave is built, those who can not put the ashes at home, those who do not have a heir, those who want to have the ashes memorialized every day , It is used by various people.

What is the ossuary?

The ossuary is an indoor grave.

 

It is possible to store the ashes of not only individuals but also couples and families in various units.

Since it is an indoor grave, there is no need to manage weeding or cleaning around the graveyard compared to the grave in the graveyard.

 

In the case of a grave in a graveyard, if you include the purchase cost of gravestones and the permanent usage fee, you will need about 1 to 3 million yen and monthly management fee, but in the case of the ossuary, only the ossuary cost is required for the ashes. You can manage and memorialize.


Those who do not have a heir to the grave and are worried that the graves of their ancestors will eventually become unrelated graves, those who have difficulty in having a grave for financial reasons, the remains that are enshrined at home An increasing number of people are choosing the ossuary, such as those who want to entrust their ancestors to a temple and have them hold a memorial service every day.

Indoor ossuary starts from 7,000 yen

It is a ossuary that can be used across denominations and denominations.

There is no need to change the sect or become a temple house, and there is no need to worry about imposing an economic burden on the next generation.

For those who do not have a successor, we also offer a permanent memorial service.

Permanent memorial service  The ashes storage fee at the ossuary "Kannon-do" starts from 7,000 yen.

It includes all the management fees during the enshrining, spring / autumn equinoctial week, Obon festival, and segaki memorial service.

For those who have difficulty coming to Kannon-do, we also accept the bone transfer (mail) of the ashes.

If you live far away, have a physical disability, or cannot bring your ashes directly to the temple, we will keep your ashes by sending bones.

After applying, we will send you a bone transfer set from Myorinji Temple.

It is possible to put the ashes in a bone-feeding box and mail it to Myorin-ji Temple.

Bone transfer costs are all included in the payment. We accept ashes by mail from all over the country.

The bones at Kannon-do

Only 3 cases per year

Currently, a permanent memorial service at Myorin-ji Temple  The ossuary "Kannon-do" has received pre-need reservations from a large number of people.

The number of ashes that can be delivered in "Kannon-do" has also been limited.

 

Therefore, we will limit the number of bones to be delivered to those who do not have a reservation before life.

Bone at "Kannon-do"

* This does not apply if the owner is the same person and multiple ashes are delivered at the same time.

If the limit is reached, the application will be closed.

The next recruitment will be on a first-come, first-served basis from 9:00 am on January 3, the following year .

A permanent memorial service at Kannon-do

Permanent memorial service  At the ossuary "Kannon-do", Myorin-ji is responsible for keeping the ashes for a long time and offering a memorial service.

Permanent memorial service  The period of placement of the ashes at the ossuary "Kannon-do" is up to 3rd, 7th, and 13th (or 3 years, 7 years, and 13 years after the ossuary).

 

Permanent memorial service  After the period of enshrining at the ossuary "Kannon-do", the remains will be buried in the permanent memorial tomb "Tensei Mausoleum" at Myorin-ji Temple.

Permanent memorial service  The ossuary "Kannon-do" is the one and only ossuary handmade by the chief priest of Myorin-ji, who is also a Buddhist priest.

 

"Paulownia" is used as the material of the ossuary. Paulownia wood is an excellent wood that protects the ashes from moisture and dryness. Because of its functionality, paulownia is used in boxes for high-end arts and crafts.

 

In a general ossuary, the inside of the urn will condense due to climate change, and mold will grow on the ashes, but there is no need to worry about it at the "Kannon-do" in Myorin-ji.

About reservation before life

  Permanent memorial service  Since the number of ashes that can be laid in the ossuary "Kannon-do" is limited, we may not be able to provide them even if you wish to have a ossuary or a permanent memorial service.

Therefore, we recommend that you make a reservation for the desired bone-feeding space before you live and secure the bone-feeding space in advance.

 

Management costs will be required before the ashes are delivered, but the reserved bone delivery space can be secured.
